It's finally up and available.
After a very worthwhile wait for our fantasitic wedding album, I've finally managed to sift through the full set and put a reduced set online. (simple iPhoto export, nothing fancy)
Have a look through and let us know if you want to have any of the fullsize pictures. We'll also gladly take orders for prints.
Have a look!

Long overdue, but up and running: mollom!
Mollom is a great development by Dries Buytaert and Ben Schrauwen; it analyses any content send to it and determines whether it is spam or ham. It supports a wide range of CMS's. Check out mollom.com if you want more info!

My dad and I have a tradition in our traditional 'father-son' weekend: World War II.
From a visit to the German hospital bunkers on Jersey to a deeply unsettling confrontation with Auschwitz, it is always an element.
Not that it is the focus of our weekend, that tends to be good food, good wine and good conversation.
On this year's trip to Berlin we stuck to our traditions. World War II is hard to avoid in Berlin from remnants of the Wall to the Holocaust Museum; the Holocaust Memorial however stood out. At first glance it doesn't seem very special, walking into it... it gave me the shivers and I was glad that a group of schoolchilderen shattered the silence.
There was no lack of good food or wine either, UMA in the MA restaurant was superb, Vox was good, while Borchardt... it may be happening but just don't go.
Remarkable is the amount of modern architecture that Berlin features from the sleek PWC building and the striking Holocaust Museum to a funny Otto Bock building (an interesting medical sciences company).
All in all a great weekend full of good traditions! Can't wait for the next one.

Yes, you read that right! Ninety-three!
This weekend we returned to the steamship Succes to celebrate 'oma' 93rd birthday in style. The Succes is a refurbished, beautifully maintained steamship.
The weather had turned to fall and the wind was blowing, but inside it was cozy and the food kept on coming.

Last weekend our friends Thomas and Ellen got married in beautiful Afsnee near Gent in Belgium (I'd never heard of it either).
Afsnee is a lovely little village with a very pictoresk church where Ellen and Thomas exchanges their vows before family, friends and God.
Afterwards they danced the night away.

Yes, it's that time, we've started our annual summer holidays!
The south-west of France is one of our favourite areas to spend a few relaxing weeks. The combination of great wines, good food and (generally) good weather late in the season; makes for a sweet spot in my book.

Loïs mijn petekindje is een weekje komen logeren. Klimmen, zwemmen, op restaurant, achter op de fiets, en tot slot de Efteling!
Een super gezellige week! Meer foto's in de gallery.

A major yearly event, my father's birthday, normally coincides with the Swiss National Day. This year however, it also coincided with a 3-yearly event in Bad Ragaz:
The Bad Rag'Artz!
The small Kurort, well know for it's thermal waters is usually a rather quiet place, where (elderly) people come to enjoy the spa's, treatments and excellent medical facilities.
For the Bad Rag'Artz however it has been invaded with over 300 (!!) sculptures from artists (Indermaur, Moseholm,...) the world over.
The town is barely large enough to house so many works of art which means you are literally tripping (or walking under) over fantastic sculptures. Not to mention the number associated art-lovers who brave hot sun and pouring rain to enjoy the diverse creations.
Saturday we had a fantastic stroll amongst the creations, check out the photographic evidence.
My father's birthday was most definitely a celebration amongst all the creations!

There are things that seem to stay in the planning phase, no matter how often they get discussed. To move them from plan to act takes a very direct action.
A biking weekend is something we have been discussing with eve's parents for nearly a year and a half, but this weekend it happend! And we embarked on a great ride through the polders south of Amsterdam.
eve planned a very nice trip through the polders along the Amstel, the Vinkeveense plassen en het Abcoudse meer. All in all 43.5km!!
Check out the full route on Google maps.

We visited close friends of ours, Frederik and Lies to meet their recently born daughter Lotte.
She's very very cute and she has her dad wrapped around her finger allready!
Two very cute shots in the Photo Gallery
