Overwhelmed

Is the only word I can find to describe the last few days. An enormous amount of overwhelming moments and events:

an overwhelming amount of cards and congratulations, thank you all, it means so much to us when so many welcome our little boy to the world

an overwhelming feeling of joy when I first held Sebas

an overwhelming amount of support in these first days

an overwhelming number of fun brief visits

an overwhelming amount of new things to learn

and

an overwhelming amount of love for a little boy

Sebas is here!

May 4th, 2010, our little Sebas has come into the world weighing 3625 grams and measuring an estimated 57cms.

Counting down

38 weeks and our little baby (and eve's belly) are continuing to grow and grow!

Eve's belly: 32 weeks

We have approximately 8 weeks to go and we are both extremely exited about the upcoming birth.
As you (and eve) can see our little baby is starting to really grow.

Our apartment in different unpacked states

A little impression of the different states of our apartment during the last few days.

We're close to settled now!

Moved!

Yes, we made it, all the boxes have been moved!
We still living in a box but it is our own box now and that does feel rather special.

We're on our bed in the new house, with our laptop's side by side (yes internet is working from day 1!), and it already is home.
It really are your own things that make a place feel like home.
For example, we packed up in the old apartment today and spend 2 hours putting the landlord's furniture, things and rugs back in place. And ... it wasn't our apartment anymore.

So now the big unpacking has started (A, thanks for the tip!):
- bathroom: done
- master bedroom: done (I love this bedroom)
- storage: 90%
- children's bedroom = storage
- kitchen: 5%
- living room: the TV works, but there's tons of boxes

Frankly, the living room will have boxes for quite a few weeks to come, until the cupboards arrive. The kitchen is the number 1 priority now. Luckily we'll have our 2 moms around to help us!

Lot's more work, so time for a night's rest in our own bed in our own new house!

Why the mountains are fantastic in February?

Because you get days like these!
+5 degrees, a sun in blue skies, and unbeatable views.

We sat down on a little terrace in the middle of nowhere with a view that stretched for miles and we just enjoyed the sun and the simple but great swiss cheese and sausages... what a day!

Living in a box!

Our move-date is getting closer and closer. I can't wait to move into the new apartment!

There are a few last things to get in order though, such as curtains, the bathroom... oh and painting isn't finished yet....

4D echo results

It took a while, to get it online, but here it is: the 4D echo of our unborn baby!

We had the great fortune of have Dr. Guy Buytaert perform the echo for us. It is quite incredible what they are able to show you these days.
